Implementation Consultant (12 months Maternity Cover)

This is a Fixed Term, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

Purpose of the Role:

To support the Compliance Systems Manager with the following activities while the Compliance Systems Director is on maternity leave:

  • The management and ongoing development of existing Group compliance systems, including systems that support Complaints, Quality Assurance, Risk and Compliance Management, Operational Resilience and Whistleblowing
  • Onboarding new businesses and acquisitions onto existing systems, including the UK and internationally
  • Identifying opportunities to automate processes and invest in new technology, including developing business cases, compiling requirements and supporting tenders
  • Implementing new systems/software
  • Horizon scanning for new innovative technology, which could improve quality and/or increase efficiency of the Group in conducting compliant business

Key Role Accountabilities:

Support with the:

 

BAU management of existing systems

  • Support and encourage effective use and application of the systems, including maintenance of user guides and answering, ‘how do I?’ questions
  • Help develop training materials and train staff on systems usage where required
  • Support Super Users with the management of user accounts and change requests
  • Help resolve system issues and provide solutions
  • Liaise with internal IT and application support teams to resolve issues as required
  • Analyse issues to spot trends and underlying problems
  • Develop and maintain relationship with system provider

Enhancement and development of existing systems

  • Evaluate and improve existing software solutions and processes and support change management
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and document requirements
  • Help develop design documents
  • Liaise with system providers to communicate requirements and support development
  • Test new updates and support user acceptance testing
  • Communicate updates and enhancements to the business

Onboarding new businesses and acquisitions onto existing systems

  • Support the onboarding of new businesses and acquisitions onto existing systems, including information gathering, developing requirements, supporting the build and testing
  • Provide support for the end users during and post adoption of new systems
  • Help develop and improve the new acquisition processes

Identification, procurement and implementation of new systems/technology

  • Help identify opportunities to automate processes and invest in new technology
  • Work with stakeholders to develop business cases and support tenders to procure new systems/technology
  • Work with 3rd party suppliers to install, configure and roll out new systems
  • Support internal stakeholders involved in the procurement and implementation process
  • Test new software and support user acceptance testing
  • Provide practical support for businesses during and post adoption of new systems

Qualifications & Experience:

Must have:

  • Educated to degree level or relevant industry experience. A relatable degree with transferrable skills would be desirable but is not essential. For example, business or project management or computer science
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, in projects and with virtual teams
  • Experience with incident management and finding solutions/problem solving

Nice to have:

  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of IT and systems management, including providing support and inputting into the ongoing development of new and existing systems
  • No requirement to ‘code’, however experience working with customisable applications and working with software developers is desirable
  • While not essential some experience in the Insurance industry or Risk and Compliance

Person Specification:

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal), including ability to deal with people at all levels within a business
  • Ability to learn quickly and work with new processes and systems 
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills. The ability and passion to problem solve is important
  • Pro-active and able to manage own workload
  • Good organisational and co-ordinating skills, including attention to detail
  • Ambitious and driven, with a passion to learn and develop
