Purpose of the Role:

Management of the Quality Assurance Team and the maintenance of the Quality Assurance (QA) framework specific to insurance placement activities, assessing the adherence to the respective company policies and procedures across the Price Forbes business teams.

Objective:  

  • Lead, mentor and develop the QA team
  • Support the use of the designated QA System, including identification of potential improvements.
  • Report review findings / themes to Senior Management and work with the Best Practice team to continuously challenge and improve processes and controls
  • Periodic review of the QA framework and update as and when required
  • Manage the rollout of the QA framework to International offices.

 

What you will do:

Management of the Quality Assurance process in line with the Framework

  • 2nd line of defence: Verifying results of reviews performed by the business/another reviewer (check the checker).
  • Providing specialist advice, guidance, and sharing of knowledge and expertise within the team and across Price Forbes and Int’l Offices.
  • Consolidating and reporting of results to Senior Management
  • Utilising findings to work with the Trading, Technical and Best Practice teams to identify and remediate issues
  • Thematic reviews and 1st line of defence reviews as and when required.
  • Monitoring of remedial actions through to completion.
  • Appeals handling.
  • Acting as an escalation point to resolve challenges and queries
  • Escalation of any identified client detriment and/or potential E&O exposure.
  • Developing a sound understanding of the business areas under review.
  • Maintaining up-to-date and orderly records and work to set timelines.
  • Identifying risks that threaten achievement of corporate objectives.
  • Assisting in the development and testing of new risk controls and assessment of their performance.
  • Assisting in preparation for and be involved in external audits (e.g. outsourced Internal Audit/E&O Insurers/FCA) as may be required.
  • Continually reviewing the current QA processes and implement improvements and efficiencies where applicable
  • Managing and undertaking assigned project work to time scales as directed
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of the London Market and its key processes
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with technical colleagues, brokers, and other support teams
  • Recording Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in line with recommendations
