Purpose of the Role:

Broker - As the International PI team grows we need more brokers in the market on a day to day basis to deal with the enquiries we are seeing.

 

We would need the candidate to have experience of looking after business from Canada, Australia and Europe and dealing with clients and the market but importantly will immediately be able to go to the market with enquires and build up relationships with some of our key underwriters and enhance our position in the market.

 

The role will be broking and account handling and we would expect the candidate to be dealing with the market immediately and working with all areas of the team in obtaining terms and liaising with clients.

Key Role Accountabilities:

  • manage a portfolio of clients, achieving targets for new business and renewals/retention of current clients as part of the International PI Division
  • develop and manage good working relationships with clients, and underwriters
  • attract new business as part of the International PI Division
  • provide accurate quotations
  • consult on the most effective cover for a particular need
  • deliver good customer service by responding swiftly to queries and concerns from clients
  • follow up on lapsed clients
  • liaise with colleagues to keep your knowledge of new and existing products up to date
  • keep up to date with current market conditions and competitors' products
  • ensure compliance with regulations and procedures as laid down by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), by keeping up to date with all changes in the regulatory framework
  • work with underwriters to amend policies where necessary in order to meet client demand

Qualifications & Experience:

  • higher education as per CV
  • Cert CII
